OUR MISSION
 

The Black Fragrance Foundation was established with the purpose of celebrating, empowering, and elevating Black talent in the fragrance industry. Throughout history, Black people have been the driving force behind the latest trends, innovations, and movements within fragrance, yet their immense contributions often go unrecognized, uncelebrated, or undervalued. The preferences, creativity, and cultural influence of Black individuals have shaped the industry in ways that resonate deeply with consumers worldwide, but these influences are frequently overshadowed by a lack of acknowledgment and opportunity.

The foundation's mission is to shift this narrative and bring about lasting change. It strives to cultivate a new generation of Black perfumers, providing mentorship, training, and development programs to ensure that Black voices are not only heard but amplified. The foundation is dedicated to supporting Black fragrance creators, offering essential resources, networking opportunities, and financial backing to foster growth and visibility in the fragrance business. Moreover, it seeks to create and strengthen pathways for Black-owned fragrance businesses to thrive, ensuring that they have the tools and access needed to succeed.

By actively working to highlight and reward Black excellence in fragrance, the foundation aims to dismantle the barriers that have historically excluded Black talent from the spotlight. Its ultimate goal is to empower Black individuals in the fragrance world, ensuring that their unique contributions are celebrated, recognized, and respected for generations to come. Through education, advocacy, and strategic support, the Black Fragrance Foundation is committed to making a profound and lasting impact on the industry and to shaping a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
